The 2010-2011 school year marks our 11^th year of providing quality before and after school child care for school age students in the Norwin and surrounding communities.  The Safeguard Program, which began in 1999, is operated by Creative Adventures and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.

Safeguard is a before- and after-school child care program located in the Norwin elementary & intermediate schools.  It is for children in grades K-6.  In the mornings, the children play games, participate in planned activities, and may finish homework.  Children who participate in the school’s breakfast program will be sent to the cafeteria at 8:30 AM.  Upon arrival in the afternoons, the children will have snack (provided), have an opportunity to do their homework, and participate in the activities planned for the afternoon.

Safeguard is open every day Norwin has school.  The Safeguard program does not operate in the summer, but child care is available at Creative Adventures during the summer months.

FEES & HOURS

All fees are per child.

All sessions must be pre-paid.

Financial assistance is available through CCIS.

Registration Fee – $25.00 per school year (non-refundable)

Supplemental child care is available at Creative Adventures on the days Norwin does not have school (except holidays).  Please see the Safeguard Handbook for details.
